Duties:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in a childcare setting which includes feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Encourage positive behavior and good manners
- Help develop age-appropriate activities to provide educational experiences and build socialization skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom or daycare area
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians providing updates on child's progress
- Previous experience in caregiving, nannying, preschool, or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies for children ages 6 weeks - 5 years
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be at least 18 years of age and clear a criminal background check. Certification in Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Training, Essentials Preservice Training, and Certification in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid required but can be obtained within first 3 months of employment. Paid trainings available.
