Charger girls running in 2024 IATC indoor championships today

March 8 is meet day for the ACGC girls track and field team. They traveled to Ames for the 2024 IATC Indoor Championships, which started at 9 a.m. The Chargers will be competing against 47 other schools throughout the day. Look for results in the Tuesday Times Vedette email edition. 

ACGC boys take one gold at 2024 IATC indoor championships

ACGC traveled to Ames on March 7 for the 2024 IATC indoor championships for 1A against 50 other schools. Lance Bunde medaled for the Chargers, taking gold in the high jump with a mark of 6-05.00. Here is how all the ACGC competitors placed:

4×100-meter relay: ACGC placed 10th with a time of 46.83

400-meter dash: Luke Brincks placed 11th with a time of 55.17

Joe Crawford placed 14th with a time of 56.04

Easton Stringham placed 20th with a time of 57.86

800-meter run: Gavin Sloss placed 8th with a time of 2:08.87

Jarret McClain placed 16th with a time of 2:15.82

4×400-meter relay: ACGC placed 5th with a time of 3:38.89

1600-meter run: Andrew Mahaffey placed 10th with a time of 4:44.77

1600 medley relay: ACGC placed 17th with a time of 4:08.35

Panorama boys track team competes in Dickinson Relays

The track and field season is officially out of the blocks with the Dickinson Relays. The event was held inside the UNI-Dome on Monday, March 4 with 114 competing schools. Here is how participating Panther runners placed:

200-meter dash: Braylon Dawes placed 20th with a time of 24.06

Cruz Crandall placed 95th with a time of 26.16

400-meter dash: Layton Ashworth placed 131st with a time of 59.95

Gabe Wagner placed 151st with a time of 1:00.85

800-meter dash: Layton Ashworth placed 115th with a time of 2:25.08

Zach Hayden placed 156th with a time of 2:38.47

Gryffin Burchfield placed 161st with a time of 2:44.09

4×400 relay: Panorama placed 41st with a time of 4:00.89
