In coverage regarding the Nov. 12 Guthrie County Board of Supervisors’ meeting, the Times Vedette incorrectly stated, “The supervisors voted to begin the process of creating a draft of a proposed ordinance on this issue.”

The correct information is: “The supervisors voted to work with Tim Whipple to obtain a letter of engagement for his services to assist in a possible hazardous pipeline ordinance.”

There will not be a vote on starting a draft proposal until the supervisors first approve a letter of engagement from Mr. Whipple.

The Oct. 8 Times Vedette published incorrect information about the results of the Southwest Iowa Band Jamboree in Clarinda from Oct. 5. The Sidney Marching Band was the top-finishing Iowa band in Class 1A, as well as the top-finishing overall Class 1A band. ACGC was officially the second top Iowa band in Class 1A.

An article in the September 2024 Panora Times and the Aug. 30 Guthrie County Times Vedette on the hiring of Panorama Schools graduate Janelle Higgins at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) included inaccurate family information regarding Higgins. Her father is Lyle Higgins (deceased), and she was raised by Dennis and LeeAnn Pittman.

We accidentally placed the wrong name with a photo in our April 30 digital edition of the Guthrie County Times Vedette. The Panorama boys soccer athlete in the photo was AJ Draper, not Maddox Nunn. The change was made with the correct name on the website and can be seen here. We apologize for the error.
