Panorama spoils Ogden’s senior night, wins in extra innings, 7-6

On Thursday, June 27, Panorama baseball (9-15) was the senior night opponent for home team Ogden (13-17). It took the Panthers 10 innings to break down the Bulldogs. Panorama’s next game will be at home on Tuesday, July 2 against Atlantic (1-17).

ACGC vs. West Central Valley suspended due to weather

The Chargers softball team (9-11) was set to take the field against West Central Valley (12-13) for its senior night game on Tuesday, June 25, but the game was canceled due to the weather. The game will resume on July 3. ACGC’s next game will be against Des Moines Christian (9-14), away from home on Monday, July 1.

Chargers falter against Woodward-Granger, 5-0

ACGC baseball (1-20) made the trip to Woodward-Granger (10-12) on Wednesday, June 26. The two teams had only nine hits, but the Hawks made the most of its six. ACGC hits came from Tegan Slaybaugh, Blaize Dorsey and Chase Slaybaugh. Ben Franzeen and Colton Clark split time on the mound. Franzeen pitched four innings, throwing 55 pitches and striking out two batters. Clark pitched two innings, throwing 21 pitches, with one strikeout. The Chargers next game will be away from home on Monday, July 1, against Des Moines Christian (26-2).

Panther woes continue in loss to Ogden, 6-3

On Thursday, June 27, Panorama softball (6-21) competed against Ogden (14-16), away from home. Panorama tied the game, 2-2, at the top of the third inning. Ogden continued to cross the plate, scoring four runs in the next two innings, creating enough of a gap between the two squads to see them to victory. The Panthers will look to bounce back tonight, Friday, June 28, against East Union (4-20), away from home.
