The Panora Public Library invites the public to a free discussion by author Catherine Van Hove, who will discuss her book, “I’m Packin’…Insulin: A Journey of Living Fearlessly with Type 1 Diabetes” on Wednesday, July 17 at 5:30 p.m. Sub sandwiches will be served. No registration is required. All are welcome. Van Hove will share what she’s learned dealing with diabetes for 45 years, including:
- The difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
- The significance of carbohydrates in diet
- Can Type 2 diabetes turn into Type 1?
- How can a person be grateful for having diabetes?
- The 10 best reasons it’s cool to have diabetes
