On May 10, a total of eight players participated. Robert Klever, Dave Richter, Chet Vaughn and Jim Caric, all had a 16 until the last hand, then Kay Phippen got her magic touch with a 17.
On May 13, a total of 13 players participated. Larry Gardiner started out with a 16, then Allen Pierce got a 20. Kay Phippen rolled in a 17. Bill Sheeder and Chet Vaughnan hijacked a 16, and Dave Richter tracked down an 18.
The Guthrie Center cribbage players meet at Guthrie Center Library on Mondays at 8 a.m., at the assisted living rec room at 8 a.m. on Wednesdays, and at the Guthrie Center Activity Center at 1 p.m. on Fridays. Organizers say there is always room for more, and they will be glad to teach you how to play. They play for quarters on Wednesday and Friday. For more information, email 58chevy@netins.net.
