Residents within the city limits of Guthrie Center are reminded of the citywide cleanup event set for Friday, June 21. To participate, a fee of at least $25 must be paid to City Hall no later than noon on Wednesday, June 19.

In additional to the basic fee of $25, additional fees are as follows: $3.50 per car tire, $5 per pickup tire, $10 per truck tire, $20 per tractor tire, $30 per semi tire, $5 per rim, $20 per TV or monitor, $15 per item that contains or contained freon, $5 per printer, VCR, DVD player, computer tower, etc.

Residents are asked to separate wood and metal items. The ACGC High School baseball team is helping with the pickup and is collecting the metal items as a fundraiser for the team.

Appliances are to be empty and upright. No paint, yard waste, hazardous chemicals, garbage or recycling will be picked up. Items must be at the curb by 8 a.m. Friday morning. Call City Hall at 641-332-2190 with any questions.
