In its effort to improve the quality of life in Guthrie County, the Guthrie County Community Foundation awarded a total of $213,874 to local nonprofits. Each year, the Foundation requests applications from local non-profit organizations. Qualified organizations must be located within Guthrie County or provide services to residents of Guthrie County.
The Foundation has continued to grow over the years and providing a growing number of helpful resources to services in the county. Local residents may also donate to the Guthrie County Foundation as a way to preserve what they love about Guthrie County and receive tax benefits. This year, the largest grants went to Little Charger Early Learning Center, the Guthrie County Hospital Foundation, and the summer children’s lunch programs sponsored by the Lutheran Church of Hope in Panora and the Bayard Church of Christ.
