On Feb. 12, the Panorama School Board held a regular meeting, in addition to a public hearing regarding the planned north parking lot project.

A total of 17 bids were received. After consideration, the board voted to accept the lowest bid, which was from Jordison Construction of Urbandale. Superintendent Kasey Huebner pointed out that the winning bid was $240,000 less than the estimated cost.

In other Panorama news, Huebner said, “We added an e-Sports coaching position, which will begin building this program. We hope to field a team for the next school year.”

The board heard from Mr. Hameister and several high school students who discussed FFA current projects.

The next regular meeting of the Panorama board will be Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. At that time, there will be a public hearing on the proposed school calendar for the upcoming school year.
