Guthrie County Deputy Sheriff Blake Michelsen reported a single-vehicle accident occurring on March 17 at 6:44 a.m. on Highway 141 east of Bagley. Nicholas Doe, 44, of Des Moines, was driving a 2019 Volvo Semi Tractor/Trailer westbound on Highway 141 and fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle began to go onto the north shoulder and over-corrected and came to rest in the south ditch, flipping on the passenger side. Doe refused medical treatment at the scene but decided to get check out once his family arrived to pick him up. Damage to the tractor/trailer is estimated at $20,000.
