Earlham (1-1) did its best to mount a comeback, but, ultimately, ACGC (2-0) held off the Cardinals on its way to its second straight win of the season last Friday, Sept. 6. The 28-21 win for the Chargers had Jathan South’s footprints all over it. The senior quarterback had 14 rushing attempts for 145 yards and a touchdown. He completed one pass on the night, which went for six, caught by Taytum Bates. ACGC had two other 100-yard rushers that night. Mike Fuller had 17 carries for 100 yards and one TD, while Joe Crawford had nine carries for 127 yards and one TD. South also had an interception, as did Thomas Skram. South tied Ben Franzeen for most total tackles on the night, with 5.5. The Chargers will travel to Panorama (0-2) this Friday, Sept. 13 for the rivalry matchup with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
