No. 2 ACGC football (7-0) made easy work of Mount Ayr (5-2) at home on Friday, Oct. 11, winning 40-14. The Chargers continue to spread out their rushing attack, with 442 rushing yards on the day and five players scoring touchdowns. Joe Crawford led with six carries for 106 yards and one score. Mike Fuller had 14 carries for 102 yards and one touchdown. Eli Madsen took his one rush for 87 yards and a score. Brexton Schneider rushed for seven carries and 72 yards and one score. Jathan South had 11 carries for 58 yards with one touchdown. Fuller also connected for a touchdown on his one 60-yard pass completion to Crawford. Xander Harwood anchored the defense with his team-high 9.5 tackles. Of the team’s 10 tackles for losses, Schneider led with two. The team’s performance was captured by Shannon Ehrhardt and shown on KCCI’s Football Friday Night highlights. ACGC can accomplish back-to-back undefeated regular seasons if they defeat Southwest (1-6) at home on Friday, Oct. 18. ACGC won last year’s game, 40-0.
