Panorama baseball (6-12) took a late lead against Saydel (17-7) but were unable to hold on for the win on Tuesday, June 18. The Panthers took an early lead in the away game, going up, 3-0, in the first inning. After scoring runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings, Saydel had snatched the lead away from Panorama, 6-3. Panorama scored twice in both the sixth and seventh innings to give them a 7-6 lead heading into the final three outs of the game. However, two runs by host Saydel put the game away. Leadoff hitter Braylon Dawes had two doubles and one single in his four at-bats, scoring one run. Parker Cary contributed two RBIs; Bryce Dawes and Mason Carstens each added one. Trey Boettcher and Cary split time on the mound. Trey Boettcher pitched five innings, striking out four batters and keeping Saydel’s batting average to .222 during his time on the mound.
