Jaidyn Sellers made her way to Des Moines to compete against some of the best track and field competition across all levels at the Drake Relays last Thursday and Friday, April 26-27.

Sellers competed in the high jump, 100-meter and 400-meter dashes. In the high jump, Sellers cleared 5-7.00, securing first place. The mark set a new school record, previously held by Sellers (5-6.50”), a mark she made earlier this season.

In the 100-meter dash, Sellers ever so closely missed out on another first-place spot. She finished in second with a time of 12.098, behind Tierney Huss of MOC-Floyd Valley, who ran a 12.092.

For the 400-meter dash, Sellers finished in seventh with a time of 57.37. First place in that race was taken by Anjelena Carder of Waukee.

“Every true girls high school track and field fan knows the name, Jaidyn Sellers, and Panorama,” said Head Coach Greg Thompson.
