The ACGC girls track and field team made its way to the Griswold High School on Thursday, March 28 to compete in the Griswold Stanton Coed against 10 other schools. ACGC took fifth place on the day with 59 points. Ava Campbell led the team with her first-place finish in the 800-meter run in 2:24.90.

The Charger boys track and field team made their presence known at Griswold High School on Thursday, March 28 as they took first place with 175 points while competing against 13 other schools.

It would almost be easier to tell you who didn’t medal at this event for ACGC. Their relay teams were in midseason form already, taking first in the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, 4×110 shuttle hurdle, second in the 4×800 and third in the 800 medley.

Individually, Gavin Sloss, Andrew Mahaffey and Lance Bunde earned gold medals. Sloss in the 800-meter run, Mahaffey in the 1600-meter run and Bunde in the high jump. Those who took silver medals were Jarret McClain in the 800-meter run, Tate Fever in the 400-meter hurdles, Preston Kent in the 3200-meter run, Anthony Solorzano in the long jump and Mason Wahl in discus. Treyton Schneider earned bronze in the 110 meter hurdles.

Panorama’s boys and girls soccer teams make their way to Stuart for a rival matchup against West Central Valley tonight, March 29. The girls (1-0) will kick off at 5 p.m. and the boys (0-0) will begin at 7 p.m.
