Steenblock achieves ICF ACC credential status

Rise Up and Shine Coaching, a life coaching business based in Panora, announces that Coach Arianne Steenblock has achieved the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the gold standard in coaching. It sets rigorous standards for professional coaches worldwide, ensuring excellence, ethics and client-focused practices.

Steenblock is a life and finance coach who empowers individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals. Armed with an MBA from Drake University and certified through the Dave Ramsey RPC finance program, she brings knowledge and expertise to her coaching practice.

Stowe joins Signal Theory’s intern program

Signal Theory, an independent branding and design firm grounded in behavioral science, announced the selection of three interns, including Audrey Stowe of Guthrie Center. She will extend her classroom learning by working on projects across Signal Theory clients in agriculture, animal health, food and retail.

“Giving our interns the opportunity to work within our client teams empowers them to contribute to active projects,” said Ali Mahaffy, Signal Theory co-CEO. “Our interns gain invaluable real-world experience while introducing the agency to diverse perspectives, new energy and fresh ideas.”

Through their roles in account management, public relations and content strategy, Signal Theory’s interns will perform work for clients like Bose, Merck, Michelin North America, AgroLiquid and Signal Theory. They will also collaborate on assignments designed to hone their project management and presentation skills and build their understanding of the integrated nature of client-based teams.

Stowe is an account management intern who joins Signal Theory as a University of Missouri student entering her senior year. She is from Guthrie Center and is earning two bachelor’s

degrees: one in journalism with a strategic communication focus and the other in business with a specialization in marketing.

Take a guided tour of Greenwood Cemetery and Prairie July 13

Join Rod Stanley from the Guthrie County Historical Village Foundation and Kristine Jorgensen, GCHV Curator, for a guided historical tour through the historic Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Discover the stories behind some of Panora’s past residents.

A tour of the accompanying original prairie by Director Brad Haltermann from Guthrie County Conservation will point out the wonders and beauty of this diverse ecosystem that consists of original ground that has never seen the plow. Greenwood Prairie is one of only three original prairies in Guthrie County.

Wear cool, comfortable clothing (long pants and tennis shoes are recommended) and bring a hat for shade and some water to stay hydrated.

Greenwood Cemetery and Prairie is located east of Panora at 2160 Viceroy Trail. 

YJB TTT omelet breakfast July 4

The YJB TTT members are serving omelets-to-order from 8-10 a.m. at the Yale Community Building on July 4. This is the major fundraiser of the year for the group. The funds raised go toward sending fourth grade girls to TTT camp each year. The organization not only pays their way but also provides their clothing and other necessities. Also, each year when the TTT camp girls are seniors and graduate from Panorama High School, they receive a scholarship from the club to further their education.
