Panorama hosts rival ACGC in WCAC clash

Panorama (0-2) will welcome ACGC (2-0) onto its home field tonight, Sept. 13, for the clash between two WCAC foes. The rivals are currently on separate trajectories this season with the Panthers hoping to turn theirs around while ACGC aims to keep it steady. ACGC has won the last three matchups, including last year’s 55-44 shootout. However, since 2008, Panorama has led the series 9-3.

Charger boys place 11th at Gilbert Cross Country meet

ACGC boys cross country made the trip to Iowa State University to compete in the Gilbert Cross Country meet in a 19-team field. The Chargers finished in 11th with a total score of 296. Host Gilbert won the meet with 22. Gavin Sloss, currently ranked 19th as an individual, had the best finish for the Chargers. He placed 22nd in 16:56. Preston Kent was just behind in 30th in 17:09. Noah Kading placed 74th in 18:06. Tate Fever finished 87th in 18:26. Jonny Kading placed 106th in 18:52. Brody Beeler finished 112th in 19:05. Jameson Pfrang took 147th in 20:31. Cameron Mozingo placed 161st in 22:55. ACGC will make the short trip to Panorama next Thursday, Sept. 19 for its next test at the Panorama Cross Country meet.

ACGC girls compete at Gilbert cross country meet

The Charger girls cross country team took 14th place in the Gilbert cross country meet at Iowa State University on Thursday, Sept. 12 with a team score of 326. Pella won the meet with 23. Ranked 30th among 1A girls, Ava Campbell had the best ACGC placement of the day. She took 16th in 19:41. Jayla Hoover placed 62nd in 21:43. Adalyn Benson was next, placing 75th in 22:14. Cadence Peterson finished right behind her in 76th in 22:16. Paige Van Meter finished 103rd in 23:33. Brooklyn Schafer placed 114th in 24:16. Emmarae Ellis was close behind her, finishing 117th in 24:25. Lillie Lauzon placed 119th in 24:35. Elizabeth Drake took 128th in 25:27. Hannah Muller finished 134th in 26:01. The Chargers’ next test will be a quick trip to Panora for the Panorama cross country meet on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Charger football looks to keep its momentum rolling against Panorama tonight

It’s Friday night lights for this rivalry matchup between ACGC (2-0) and Panorama (0-2) tonight, Friday, Sept. 13. With kickoff slated for 7 p.m., ACGC looks to keep its win streak moving while Panorama will aim to end its losing streak. ACGC has won the last three matchups between the two programs, which includes the high-scoring affair from last season that ended in ACGC’s favor, 55-44.

‘Welcome to Medicare’ seminar offered in Guthrie Center at Guthrie County Hospital
