Dawes and Meinecke earn WCAC honorable mention; Crandall named second team All-District

Three Panorama baseball players earned honors for their regular season performances. In a challenging West Central Activities Conference, Bryce Dawes and Brayden Meinecke earned WCAC Honorable Mention. Cruz Crandall earned Second Team All-District.
Crandall led the team in hits with 21, had six RBIs and batted .339. He also led the team in stolen bases with 11. In addition, Crandall was efficient in the outfield with a .957 fielding percentage. Meinecke had 20 hits and batted .290. He had a .941 fielding percentage with 71 put outs. Dawes had 16 hits and batted .291 while recording a .846 fielding percentage. He was also the Panthers’ best pitcher, starting eight games, striking out 40 batters and recording a team-best 3.52 ERA.


A watercolor class was held at Art on State on Sunday, July 27 and taught by Mary Johnson. This was a rescheduled class from June. A total of seven artists participated in painting Superstition Mountain, which is located near Phoenix, Arizona. A variety of techniques were taught such as wet on wet in the sky and dry brush in the river.
