The Panora Public Library is holding the following events in March:

• Wednesday, March 4 – Storytime for children 5 years and younger, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• Friday, March 6 – Lego Club for children ages 6-11 years, 2-3 p.m. Build challenges or informal builds. Pre-registration required.
• Monday, March 9 – Kids BINGO for children ages 6-11 years, 4-4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, March 10 – Wonders of Nature presented by ISU Extension Guthrie County, 4-5 p.m. for children ages 6-11 years. This program is for kindergarten through third grade youth. Pre-registration required.
• Thursday, March 12 – Card making class for adults, 2-3 p.m.
• Monday, March 16 – Kids craft, 3-4 p.m. for children ages 6-11 years. This month, the group will explore the art of origami.
• Thursday, March 19 – Find your family genealogy club, 3-5 p.m.
• Monday, March 23 – Library Board meeting, 6:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, March 24– Evening Card Making Class, 5:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 25 – Storytime for children 5 years and younger, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• Thursday, March 26 – Kids winter reading challenge pizza party and games, 4-5 p.m. for children ages 6-11 years. Celebrate the winter reading challenge achievements at the library with pizza and minute to win it games. For planning purposes, BINGO tracking forms must be turned into the library by Wednesday, March 25, to attend this event. 
• Friday, March 27 – Page Turners Book Club, 9:30 a.m.

Winter Reading Challenge

The Winter Reading Challenge is underway and concludes March 26. Open to all ages. Adults completing the challenge will win a $5 gift card and a chance to win a $50 gift card. Children earn a party at the library with pizza and games. Stop at the library and pick up your BINGO card.

Home Delivery Service

Are you, or someone you know, unable to get to the library due to illness, disability or special circumstances? Let the Panora Public Library deliver books, movies, audiobooks or magazines to your home. Home delivery service brings library materials to homebound residents and senior living facilities within Panora city limits. Adair fish fry Feb. 27 and March 13

Saint John’s Catholic Church in Adair will hold a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27 and Friday, March 13. Cost is $15 per person, dine-in or drive-thru. Enter the alley behind the church hall (501 Adair St.) from the west. The meal will include freshly fried breaded fish and shrimp, cole slaw, potatoes, dessert and drink.

Fish fry Fridays at Café on the Hill

Through Lent, Café on the Hill (2003 State St. in Guthrie Center) will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry every Friday from 5-8 p.m. Other options are available for those not interested in fish.

Adair-Casey Conservation Club supper Feb. 28

On Saturday, Feb. 28, beginning at 5:30 p.m., the Adair-Casey Conservation Club will hold its 81^st annual supper at the Adair Fire Hall. The public is welcome. Tickets cost only $5 for adults, with kids 12 and younger admitted for $2.50. The menu includes chili, oyster soup, ham sandwiches, relish, drink and dessert. There will be prize drawings and auction items, too. Tickets may be purchased from any club member. The club will also hold its annual meeting on that evening.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 124 will hold Saturday bingo on Feb. 28 and March 28 at the Guthrie Center Activity Center, 209 State St. A freewill donation dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. with bingo starting at 7 p.m.

Panora Fiber annual shareholders meeting March 2

Panora Fiber will hold its annual shareholders meeting on Monday, March 2 at the Panora Community Center, 115 W. Main. St. Registration is at 5:30 p.m., and the meeting is at 6 p.m.  An election of three directors will be held. Celebrate Guthrie Center March 13

Everyone is welcome to attend Celebrate Guthrie Center on Friday, March 13 at the Guthrie Activity Center, 209 State St. Social hour begins at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p p.m. by Cabbage Rose. Cost is $120 per team, with registration available on the Chamber’s Facebook page. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and the competition begins at 6 p.m. Cash bar and side games will be available for purchase.

Spaghetti and Bingo in Casey March 14

The Casey Service Club invites everyone to its Saint Patrick’s Day event. On Saturday, March 14, a freewill spaghetti supper will begin at 5 p.m., followed by bingo at 6:30 p.m.

The Bagley Firefighters Association will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 29 at the fire hall. The freewill donation meal includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee, milk and juice.

Membership drive for Friends of Guthrie Center Library

Friends of Guthrie Center Library is encouraging everyone to consider joining, to help support library programs and activities. Annual dues are $25. New and renewing members who pay dues by March 31 will be entered in a drawing for a prize bag worth $100.

An Evening Out Feb. 13

The Guthrie County Arts Council will host its 10th annual “An Evening Out” event tonight, Friday, Feb. 13. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased at Art on State in Guthrie Center. Only 100 tickets will be sold. The evening will begin with wine and chocolate tasting at Art on State, 5-6 p.m., followed by dinner at the Guthrie Center Activity Center (209 State St.) at 6:15 p.m. A raffle will follow, then live entertainment by Dale Menning and the Stardusters, 7-9 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages or can purchase wine at Art on State.

Dueling Pianos in Adair Feb. 13

Tonight, Friday, Feb. 13, the Adair Chamber of Commerce will host the event to raise funds for Chuckwagon Days.
