ACGC baseball (1-22) played an away doubleheader on Monday, July 1 against Des Moines Christian (28-2). Des Moines Christian won the first game, 19-0, and the second leg, 12-2. While the Chargers struggled for offense in the first game, they managed two runs in the second against the best team in the WCAC. RBIs came from Noah Kading and Andrew Mahaffey. ACGC’s next game is against East Union (15-6) tonight, Tuesday, July 2. A quick turnaround will have the Chargers face off against West Central Valley (6-17) away from home on Wednesday, July 3. ACGC’s substate opponent will be Lynnville-Sully (22-3), also away from home, on Saturday, July 6.
