The ACGC boys basketball team’s (9-10) late-season surge continued with a home win over Pleasantville (11-8) on Friday, Feb. 6. The score was close heading into halftime with the Trojans leading 36-32. ACGC rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Pleasantville 25-14 to take a seven-point lead, 57-50. Pleasantville would outscore ACGC in the final stanza, but it would not be enough to keep the Chargers out of the win column. Joe Crawford and Thomas Skram were dominant on offense. Crawford led the way with 23 points, adding five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Skram scored 20 points and led the team in assists with six. Jonny Kading secured a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

ACGC will have the chance on Friday, Feb. 10 to get back to .500, but they will have to go through No. 10 Madrid (16-4) to do so. Madrid defeated ACGC earlier this season, 62-20.
