ACGC softball (10-12) won one and lost one in an away doubleheader against Des Moines Christian (10-17) on Monday, July 1. Game one went in the Chargers’ favor, 13-6, after ACGC took an 8-2 lead in the first inning. Des Moines Christian won game two, 6-5. ACGC tied it up, 5-5, in the top of the seventh inning, but the Lions were able to walk it off. ACGC will continue its streak of road games this week. The Chargers will travel to West Central Valley (15-16) on Wednesday, July 3. Then ACGC will travel to No. 13 Treynor (14-9) on Friday, July 5. The following week, ACGC will play its Class 2A regional game, also against West Central Valley, on Monday, July 8, at home.
