The Charger boys cross country team came out on top against 16 other teams at the Southeast Valley meet held at the Gowrie Municipal Golf Course on Thursday, Aug. 29. ACGC led with 62 team points, followed by St. Edmond, 83; Fort Dodge, 114; Madrid, 130; and East Sac County, 140. Gavin Sloss, 5th place, 17:56.54, and Preston Kent, 7th place, 18:12.78, led ACGC. Tate Fever ran a time of 19:22.88 to finish 15th, with Noah Kading right behind him at 19:24.74 to place 16th. Also running were Brody Beeler, 34th, 21:01.40; Jonny Kading, 38th, 21:14.57; Jameson Pfrang, 22:20.87; Cameron Mozingo, 24:50.84; Tai Riordan, 25:14.60; Stetson Ellis, 27:27.28; and Ryne Noland, 30:24.73. The boys will compete in a field of 10 schools at Dallas Center Grimes Middle School Tuesday, Sept. 3.
