The Panorama girls basketball team (3-9) gave No. 14 Nodaway Valley (12-1) a scare in its away game on Thursday, Jan. 15. Panorama ended the first quarter up 13-12. N-V took the lead heading into halftime, 28-20. Panorama narrowed the margin heading into the fourth quarter down 39-33. A strong final quarter from N-V saw them pull away. Morgan Crees led all Panthers in scoring with 17 points and in rebounds with seven. Ines Gimeno-Perez had nine points, and Nerea Gimeno-Perez had eight points, adding six rebounds and leading in assists with three.
The Panthers have a quick return to the court, hosting Van Meter (6-5) tonight, Friday, Jan. 16. Van Meter won the lone contest between these two last season, 53-37.
