2A golf state championship cancelled

With severe weather predicted for today, Tuesday, May 21, the 2A boys golf state championship at the Coldwater Golf Links in Ames has been cancelled, per IHSAA. The results will be based off of day one scores. Meaning, Panorama placed sixth with a round 1 score of 319. Beckman Catholic placed first, with a 306.

Panthers lose shootout with West Central Valley, 12-10

The Panorama softball team (0-1) lost its season opener against West Central Valley (1-0) on Monday, May 20, 12-10. This was the closest the Panthers have come to defeating a tough West Central Valley program since early 2022. Weather permitting, Panorama will be back in action today, May 21, against Woodward-Granger (0-0).

Panorama falls to West Central Valley, 14-2

The Panorama Panthers boys baseball team (0-2) lost its second straight game to start the season against West Central Valley (3-1), 14-2. Individual stats were not available for Panorama as of press time. The Panthers’ next game will be against Woodward-Granger (1-0), weather permitting.

Panthers lose season opener to South Hamilton, 22-5

The Panorama Panthers boys baseball team (0-1) started its season against the South Hamilton Hawks (1-0) at home on Friday, May 17, losing 22-5. South Hamilton’s pitching made it difficult for the Panthers to get their offense going, and Panorama was resigned to just two hits on the afternoon, from Mason Carstens and Hunter Dishman.

Panthers host Knoxville in regional semi-final today

Panorama (13-2) will host Knoxville (9-4) in the Class 1A region 5 semi-finals today, May 21. The winner of this matchup will face either Nevada (12-5) or Pella Christian (9-8) on Thursday with a chance to go to the state tournament.
