Girls place 5th, boys place 10th at Ogden meet

The Panorama boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Ogden Cross Country meet on Monday, Sept. 29. The girls placed fifth with 124 points. No. 10 Boone won the meet with 49. The girls best race come from Kylie Rochholz who placed 14th in 22:21, earning a medal.

On the boy’s side, the Panthers placed 10th with 225 points. No. 1 Riverside won the meet with 24. Bladyn Wearmouth ran the best time for Panorama, placing 37th in 20:34.

The next meet for the Panthers is the 2025 Kim Klein Cross Country Invitational hosted by South Hamilton on Thursday, Oct. 9. The other teams competing are ACGC, BCLUW, Collins-Maxwell, Colo-Nesco, Eagle Grove, East Marshall, Lynnville-Sully, Madrid, Meskwaki Settlement, Newman Catholic, Ogden, Roland-Story, South Hamilton and West Marshall.

Panthers defeat I-35, 3-0

The Panorama volleyball team (5-9) defeated I-35 (5-13) away from home on Monday, Sept. 29, 3-0. Set scores and individual stats were not available as of press time. Panorama’s next game is against West Central Valley (4-12) tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 30. Panorama has won the last three matchups, including last season’s 3-1 victory.

Panorama volleyball beats Paton-Churdan, loses to Perry on Saturday

The Panorama volleyball team (4-9) hosted a triangular meet on Saturday, Sept. 27. Both contests ended 2-0, one in the Panthers favor over Paton-Churdan (2-8). The other result went against Panorama while playing Perry (2-13).

Against Paton-Churdan, Panorama won the sets 25-18 and 25-17. Nerea Gimeno Perez led in assists with eight. Ashley Crees led in kills with six. Gracie Recker and Ruth Fett were close behind with four kills apiece. Recker also led the team in blocks with two. Elah Molloy was keeping the ball alive on defense with 11 digs. Evelyn Hummel led in aces with three. Lexi Galvan had the most successful serves with 12/13.

Panther football falls to I-35, 53-25

The Panorama football team (1-4) lost its away game to I-35 (3-2) on Friday, Sept. 26. Despite the loss, Panorama’s QB, Cruz Crandall, continued to play well.

Crandall went 16/30 in the air with 228 yards and three TDs with no INTs. Crandall’s favorite target continued to be Latyn Ashworth, who caught five passes for 115 yards and two TDs. Reed Draper caught four balls for 63 yards and a TD. Austin Wagner was the main ball carrier with 15 rushing attempts for 30 yards. Trey Ratcliff and Gavin Lindstrom led the team in tackles with 5.5 each. Draper had the teams only tackle for loss. Crandall recovered a fumble.

The next game for the Panthers is at home against West Marshall (3-2) on Friday, Oct. 3. The teams have not faced each since West Marshall’s 55-30 win in 2013.
