Panthers lose close game with West Central Valley, 55-51

Panorama boys basketball (2-12) lost its away game with West Central Valley (4-12) on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Reed Draper led the team in scoring with 18 points on an efficient 9/12 from the field. AJ Draper joined him in double figures with 10 points. AJ nearly completed the double-double with nine rebounds. Cruz Crandall led the team in assists with five. The Panthers will host No. 5 ACGC tonight, Friday, Jan. 24.

Panther boys win 2 duals on senior night

Panorama boys wrestling hosted CAM, Colfax-Mingo and Harlan Community for its senior night quadrangular meet. Panorama won two duals: beating CAM, 58-17, and Colfax-Mingo, 47-36. The Panthers lost their dual with Harlan Community, 39-30. Panorama will travel to Southwest Valley High School the next two days, Jan. 24-25, for the John J. Harris Invitational. Twenty-six other teams will compete at the tournament.

Panthers win 1, lose 1 at South Central Calhoun triangular

Panorama girls wrestling competed in two duals at South Central Calhoun Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Panthers won their dual with host South Central Calhoun, 54-18. Panorama lost to Woodward-Granger, 42-36. Panorama’s next meet will be the 2025 Rich Gray Women’s Wrestling Invite next Friday, Jan. 31, at Red Oak High School. The Panthers will do battle against 17 other teams.

Panorama Esports falters to Woodward-Granger, 3-0

Panorama Esports (3-2) win streak came to an end at the hands of Woodward-Granger (3-2) on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Panthers lost the best of five series, 3-0. Panorama’s next competition will be against undefeated Westwood CSD (4-0) Tuesday, Jan. 28.

No. 5 Chargers’ strong second half carries them to win over Ogden, 73-46

No. 5 ACGC boys basketball (11-1) put the pedal to the metal in the second half to beat Ogden (5-8) away from home on Tuesday, Jan. 21. ACGC held a slim four-point lead going into half time. They extended that margin to 19 points by the end of the third quarter. Noah Kading led the Chargers in scoring with 22 points, adding six rebounds. Payton Policky added another dominant double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Policky is tied for sixth in the state for rebounds per game at 14.3. Jathan South joined them in double figures with 13 points while stuffing the stat sheet with seven rebounds, four steals and two blocks. The Chargers will make the short drive to Panorama (2-12) tonight, Friday, Jan. 24. ACGC and Panorama have met on the hardwood once already this season, with the Chargers winning 82-40.
