Panorama boys and girls cross country to compete at Madrid invite on Thursday

The next meet for the Panorama boys and girls cross country teams is the Madrid Invite on Thursday, Sept. 3. The girls will run against BGM, Boone, Colo-Nesco, Earlham, Madrid, Ogden, Perry, Woodward Academy and Woodward-Granger. Panorama volleyball to host triangular tonight

The Panthers play two games tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 1, in a home triangular against West Central Valley (0-1) and ACGC (2-0) on Sept. 1. Panorama has won three of its last four games against WCV, dating back to 2023. They have struggled against a solid ACGC program in recent years, with their last win against the Chargers coming in 2018.

Panthers fall in home opener vs. ACGC, 53-7

Panorama football (0-2) lost to nearby rival ACGC (1-0) in its home opener on Friday, Aug. 28. Panorama left the first quarter tied, 7-7, but those seven points proved to be on the only ones they would score on the night.

Panorama’s one score came on a 43-yard fumble recovery by Reed Draper. Draper was also the team’s leader in tackles with 11 total and seven solo. Cruz Crandall was back under center for another season. ACGC’s stellar defense gave him trouble, going 3/10 for 33 yards and three INTs. The Panther’s leading rusher was Devonne Bell, who had eight carries for 10 yards.

Panorama hopes to bounce back in its game this week against South Hamilton (0-1). Panorama’s lone win a season ago was against South Hamilton, 28-22.

Charger cross country teams to run in Woodward-Granger meet tonight

The ACGC boys and girls cross country teams both compete at the Woodward-Granger Cross Country Meet tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 1. The boys run against Baxter, CAM, Clarke Community, Collins-Maxwell, Perry, Saydel and Woodward-Granger. The girls run against Baxter, CAM, Clarke Community, Collins-Maxwell, Des Moines North, Perry, Saydel and Woodward-Granger.

ACGC volleyball competes in Panorama triangular tonight

The ACGC volleyball teams (2-0) next set of games is tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Panorama for a triangular against the Panthers (1-1) and West Central Valley (0-1). ACGC has won its last seven games against WCV and has not lost to Panorama since 2018.
