Panorama girls cross country places 3rd, Lutz finishes in 5th

The Panorama girls cross country team competed at the Greene County Meet on Thursday, Sept. 11. Panorama scored 65 points to place third among six teams. Roland-Story won the meet with 23 points. The Panthers had three medalists: Laicey Lutz, who placed fifth; Olivia Beaudet, who placed 13th; and Corrie Knapp, who placed 17th. The Panthers’ next meet is at home on Thursday, Sept. 18.

Panther volleyball falls to ACGC, 3-0

The Panorama volleyball team (2-4) dropped its home game against WCAC opponent ACGC (5-2) on Thursday, Sept. 11. ACGC won the sets 25-18 and 25-20 before Panorama nearly grabbed the third set, which ended in ACGC’s favor, 28-26. The Panthers’ next game is a quadrangular at ACGC on Tuesday, Sept. 16. Greene County, South Central Calhoun and ACGC will be the other teams.

No. 4 ACGC football hosts Nodaway Valley tonight

The ACGC football team (2-0) plays at home against Nodaway Valley (1-1) on Friday, Sept. 12. These teams have played each other four times, all since 2018, all resulting in ACGC wins. The most recent result was in 2022, when ACGC won 51-0. 

ACGC volleyball defeats Panorama, 3-0

The ACGC volleyball team (5-2) defeated Panorama away from home on Thursday, Sept. 11. ACGC won the sets 25-18, 25-20, and a close third set, 28-26. ACGC will compete at the Griswold Varsity Tournament this weekend on Saturday, Sept. 13. The Chargers’ first game is scheduled against undefeated Riverside (12-0). 

Charger volleyball beats Des Moines Christian, 3-0

The ACGC volleyball team (4-2) won at Des Moines Christian (3-8) for the first time since 2009 on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Chargers won the three sets 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20. Becca Littler had 29 of the Chargers’ 35 total assists, most of which went to the striking hand of Stella Largent, who had 24 kills. Camdyn Richter had the next highest total with nine kills. Largent and Richter were also busy on defense. Richter had 11 digs, and Largent had 10. Ilana Baumert had nine and Kailee Kautzky contributed on defense with eight digs. ACGC’s serving proficiency helped them with four out of six players completing every serve attempted: Meranda Gruber (13/13), Largent (10/10), Kautzky (11/11) and Baumert (9/9). Largent and Littler led in aces with two apiece. 

Panorama cross country teams travel to Greene County on Thursday

Denison-Schleswig, Greene County, Ogden, Panorama, Perry, Roland-Story, Southeast Valley and West Central Valley.
