The ACGC volleyball team (4-2) won at Des Moines Christian (3-8) for the first time since 2009 on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Chargers won the three sets 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20. Becca Littler had 29 of the Chargers’ 35 total assists, most of which went to the striking hand of Stella Largent, who had 24 kills. Camdyn Richter had the next highest total with nine kills. Largent and Richter were also busy on defense. Richter had 11 digs, and Largent had 10. Ilana Baumert had nine and Kailee Kautzky contributed on defense with eight digs. ACGC’s serving proficiency helped them with four out of six players completing every serve attempted: Meranda Gruber (13/13), Largent (10/10), Kautzky (11/11) and Baumert (9/9). Largent and Littler led in aces with two apiece.
