The ACGC girls volleyball team (14-6) traveled to Greene County for a volleyball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 4. ACGC won one game against Carlisle (5-19), 2-1, and lost its two other contests to South Hardin (9-13), 2-1, and Vane Meter (14-7), 2-1.
Vs. South Hardin: 2-1 L
Becca Littler led in assists with 15. Stella Largent led the team with 14 kills. On defense, Camdyn Richter led the team in digs with seven. Largent and Nora Langaard had one block each. Littler also led the team in aces with four, and went a perfect 14/14 serving.
Vs. Carlisle: 2-1 W
It was more of the same from Richter in game two. She once again led in assists, this time with 19. Largent, with 11, and Richter, with nine were on the receiving end of most of her passes. Richter was flying on defense with a team-high 14 digs. Kailee Kautzky also reached double-digits with 10. Savannah Akers and Olivia Mahaffey had one block apiece. Littler led in aces with three. Littler and Richter both went a perfect 9/9 on serves.
Vs. Van Meter: 2-1 L
Littler had every single assist for ACGC in this game with 21. Largent led in kills with 14. Largent also led in digs with eight. Richter was close behind with five. Akers recorded one block. Largent led in aces with two. Richter went 11/11 on serves.
ACGC plays at home tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 7 against Ogden (13-9). ACGC is currently one spot above Ogden in the WCAC standings with the Chargers in fourth and Ogden in fifth. ACGC has won the last seven games in a row against the Bulldogs.
