No. 5 ACGC boys basketball (9-1) needed overtime to defeat Earlham (8-4) away from home on Friday, Jan. 17. ACGC trailed at the end of the first, second and third quarters of this game. A strong fourth quarter made it a tie game, 57-57, sending the WCAC foes into an extra period. ACGC would shutout Earlham, 7-0, to give the Chargers the 64-57 win. Payton Policky had a monster game on the boards, setting a new school record with 24. This breaks the previous record of 23 rebounds set by Policky last season. The 24 rebounds last night were more than half of his team’s total rebounds. His 14 points gave him the double-double. Jathan South led the Chargers in scoring with 23 points.
