Chargers win Ram Relays

The ACGC boys track and field team won the Ram Relays at Greene County on Monday, April 21. ACGC scored 145 points at the meet. Boone was next closest with 112. Dean Vela in the 200-meter dash, the 4×100-meter relay team, Brexton Schneider in the 110-meter hurdles, and Tate Fever in the 400-meter hurdles all won gold. Luke Brincks in the 200-meter dash, Fever in the 110-meter hurdles, the sprint medley relay team, Preston Kent in the 3,200-meter run, and Mike Fuller in shot put all won silver. Fuller in discus, and Brincks in the 400-meter dash, won bronze. The boys next meet will be at West Central Valley on Thursday, April 24. ACGC will compete against 10 other teams.

Crawford, Schneider, Sorenson and Madsen to compete at Drake Relays

The 4×100-meter relay team consisting of Joe Crawford, Brexton Schneider, Kade Sorensen and Eli Madsen will represent the ACGC boys track and field team at the Drake Relays on Saturday, April 26. The boys are in heat three and will race against Fairfield, Shenandoah, Decorah, Crestwood Cresco, Keokuk, Independence and Des Moines East.

Panorama girls compete at DMC Invite today

The Panorama girls golf team placed third at the Bondurant-Farrar quad on Monday, April 21. Panorama shot a 451. Woodward-Granger won the meet shooting 399. The girls team travels to the Jester Park Golf Course today, Tuesday, to compete in the Des Moines Christian Girls Varsity Golf Invitational. The girls will compete against Carlisle, Kuemper Catholic and hosts Des Moines Christian.

Panthers win Hal Rossow Invite

The Panorama boys golf team won on its home course at the Hal Rossow Invite on Friday, April 18. Panorama shot a 341, eight strokes better than second-place Webster City. Panorama’s Brayden Galvan also had the best 18-hole score on the day, shooting a 78. Parker Cary joined him in the top five best scores with an 86. Panorama’s next meet will be a conference quad meet at Woodward-Granger on Thursday, April 24. They will face ACGC, Interstate 35 and Woodward-Granger.

Panorama girls travel to Logan Magnolia tonight; boys host Van Meter on Thursday

The Panorama girls soccer team (3-2) plays Logan-Magnolia (2-2-2) tonight, Tuesday, April 22. Panorama won last year’s contest, 9-1. With leading scorer Morgan Crees goal tally now at 21, expect her to feast on Logan-Magnolia’s defense. The Panorama boys soccer team hosts No. 6 Van Meter (5-1-1) on Thursday, April 24. Van Meter will be one of the Panthers’ toughest tests of the season.
