Haines crowned Guthrie County Fair Queen

Brooklyn Haines was crowned as this year’s Guthrie County Fair Queen at the coronation ceremony on Sunday evening.  Shyann Young, the past queen, presented Haines with the formal honor on the stage of the Little Amphitheater at 6 p.m.

Panthers host South Hamilton on Friday

The Panorama football team (0-1) welcomes South Hamilton (0-1) onto its home turf on Friday, Sept. 5. Both teams suffered losses in week one with Panorama falling to ACGC, 40-0, and South Hamilton losing to Saint Ansgar, 59-14. Both squads will want to get back to a .500 record. These teams have faced twice before, splitting the series 1-1. South Hamilton won the most recent matchup, 18-15 in 2017. Panorama won the year before, 42-17.

Panorama boys and girls cross country compete at Madrid

The Panorama boys and girls cross country teams compete in Madrid on Thursday, Sept. 4. The boys compete against BGM, Colo-Nesco, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, Perry, Woodward Academy and Woodward-Granger. The girls compete against the same teams plus Boone.

Panther volleyball hosts Madrid tonight

The Panorama volleyball team (0-3) hosts WCAC opponent Madrid (2-4) tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 2. Panorama continues to look for its first win of the season after narrowly losing to Audubon last Thursday. Madrid has had a shaky start to the season as well, dropping four games. Panorama has dominated Madrid in recent games, winning the last five in a row without dropping a set and winning nine of the last 11 matchups overall.

Chargers face Southwest Valley on Friday

The ACGC football team (1-0) travels to Southwest Valley (1-0) on Friday, Sept. 5. Both teams came away victorious in their week-one matchups. ACGC defeated Panorama, 40-0, behind Joe Crawford’s 153 rushing yards and two-touchdown performance. Southwest Valley defeated Red Oak, 14-3, with a solid ground attack. These teams have met each of the last two seasons with ACGC winning, 40-7 in 2024 and 41-0 in 2023.
