Panthers lose to Woodward Academy, 71-42

The Panorama boys basketball team (1-17) lost at Woodward Academy (6-7) on Friday, Jan. 30. Two Panthers reached double figure scoring. Cruz Crandall led the team with 15 points, and Brayden Galvan was close behind with 12. Crandall also led the team in rebounds with five. Ty Ratcliff led the team in assists with two. 

Panorama returns to the court tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Woodward-Granger (10-6). W-G won a close game between the two earlier this season, 78-72.

Panorama girls face Woodward-Granger tonight

The Panorama girls basketball team (6-12) tips off at Woodward-Granger (11-5) tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 3. W-G won the contest between these squads earlier this season, 57-43.

Panorama places 16th, Schwartz places third at Charger Invitational

The Panorama boys wrestling team competed at the Charger Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 31 against 20 other teams. The Panthers placed 16th overall with 50 points. Riverside, Oakland won the meet with 196.5. The best Panther performance came from Blake Schwartz (165), who placed third. Austin Wagner (150) also earned a medal, placing fifth.

The next meet for the Panthers is the Lynx Invitational, hosted Webster City. Other teams competing will be Des Moines Lincoln, Des Moines North, Des Moines Roosevelt and Webster City.

Panther girls wrestlers season ends at state-qualifier meet

The Panorama girls wrestling team had its final meet of the season at IGHSAU 1A Regional meet at Colfax-Mingo and Friday, Jan. 30. Emma Walker (170) came the closest to qualifying for the state meet, placing third. Natalie Waltz, Gracie Recker, Alyssa Hall and Cadence Petersen all picked up points.
