Whiterock Conservancy Slow Sunday Drive is June 14

Whiterock Conservancy is hosting its next Slow Sunday Drive on June 14. Rides begin at the Historic Farm District, 1390 Highway 141, Coon Rapids, at 1 p.m. They take approximately two to three hours and take riders along the scenic trails of Whiterock Conservancy.
Parking is available for trailers in the overflow lot of the Bur Oak Visitors Center, 1436 Highway 141, Coon Rapids. Price per vehicle is $30, cash only. Participants pay at registration, along with providing proof of insurance and valid driver’s license.
Arrive early so the event can begin at 1 p.m. Watch the website and event page for any weather updates. If the trails are wet, the Slow Sunday Drive will be cancelled or rescheduled.
Private ATVs are only allowed on Whiterock land during the Slow Sunday Drives; visitors may not bring their own ATVs on the land outside of this event.

As Guthrie Center, Panora and Yale prepare for thousands of bicyclists to come through in mid-July, safety is a top priority. Riders are expected to start arriving in Guthrie Center mid-morning on Monday, July 20. A steady stream of bicyclists will pour into town most of the day. The route will bring riders in from the west on Highway 44. On the morning of Tuesday, July 21, riders will begin riding east from Guthrie Center on Highway 44, arriving in Panora and then heading north on Highway 4 to Yale before traveling to Boone.
