The Panorama volleyball team (3-2) picked up a solid win at Martensdale-St. Marys on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 3-0. Panorama won the sets 25-21, 25-17 and 25-20.

Nerea Gimeno-Perez led the way in assists with 14. Hailey Hellman was just short of double digits with nine. Ashley Crees was on the majority of those assists with 12 kills. Gracie Recker and Leah Carstens had the next most kills with six each. Recker was dominant on defense with six blocks. Danica Isom had three, Jessica Randol had two, and Crees and Ruth Fett had one each. Digs were spread throughout the team with Lexi Galvan leading with 13. Bella Kelly had the next most with nine. Crees led in aces with five.

The ACGC girls cross country team competed at the Gilbert Cross Country Meet at Iowa State University on Thursday, Sept. 10. The highest placement from an ACGC runner was by Vivian Crawford, who placed 32^nd in 21:00. Elsie Brenneman of Pella won the meet in 17:48, and Pella won the meet overall with 26 points.

The next meet for the girls is at Panorama on Thursday, Sept. 17. The girls run against Atlantic, Boyer Valley, Carroll, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Exira-EHK, Greene County, Nodaway Valley, Ogden, Panorama, PCM, Perry, Roland-Story, Southeast Valley, Treynor, West Central Valley and Woodbine.

The ACGC boys cross country team competed at the Gilbert Cross Country Meet at Iowa State University on Thursday, Sept. 10. The Chargers placed 19^th with 500 points. Gilbert hosted and won the meet with 63 points. Gilbert’s Logan Bleich won the meet, finishing in 15:28. ACGC’s Preston Kent had the highest finish for the Chargers, placing 19^th in 17:13.

The next meet for the boys is at Panorama on Thursday, Sept. 17. They will compete against Atlantic, Boyer Valley, Carroll, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Exira-EHK, Greene County, Nodaway Valley, Ogden, Panorama, PCM, Perry, Roland-Story, Southeast Valley, Treynor, West Central Valley and Woodbine.

The ACGC football team (2-0) looks to keep its regular season winning streak alive at Nodaway Valley on Friday, Sept. 11. ACGC won last season’s contest, 54-0. The Chargers already have three players with more than 100 yards on the ground. Andrew Baumert (198), Morgun Nolte (175) and Ryder Cline (102) will likely continue as that three-pronged approach tonight.

The ACGC volleyball team (10-0) reached double-digit wins on the season defeating West Central Activities Conference foe Panorama (3-3) at home on Thursday, Sept. 10. Individual stats for this game were not available as of press time. The next set of games for the Chargers is the Griswold Varsity Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 12. Other teams at the tournament will be AHSTW, Denison-Schleswig, Diagonal, Griswold, Riverside and Southwest Valley.
