The ACGC girls cross country team faced its first regular season competition at the Southeast Valley invite held at Gowrie Municipal Golf Course on Thursday. Aug. 29. The girls placed third in the field of 17 schools with 88 points. Madrid captured first, 41 points, and St. Edmond second, 74. Panorama finished in fourth with 103 points. Ava Campbell led the way for ACGC, placing 11th, 21:57.18, followed by Jayla Hoover, 13th, 22:52.01; Adalyn Benson, 19th, 23:42.88; Paige Van Meter, 25th, 24:28.12; Brooklyn Schafer, 35th, 25:19.64; Lillie Lauzon, 39th, 25:48.59; Emmarae Ellis, 26:55.94; Hannah Muller, 27.03.05; Elizabeth Drake, 27.16.50; and Cadence Petersen. The girls will compete in a field of 10 schools at Dallas Center Grimes Middle School Tuesday, Sept. 3.
