The ACGC boys basketball team (7-9) secured an away win over Interstate 35 (6-10) on Friday, Jan. 30. This was a close contest throughout. Despite the double-digit victory, ACGC outscored the roadrunners by two points in the first quarter, four in the second, two in the third, and seven in the fourth. The points piled up by the end. After a slow start to the season, ACGC has won four of its last five games.

Four Chargers reached double-figure scoring. Joe Crawford led the way with 21 points, adding seven rebounds and six assists. Preston Kent had an efficient 17 points on 6/11 shooting. Thomas Skram stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, a game-high seven assists, four rebounds and four steals.

ACGC will put its recent good form to the test against one of the better teams in the WCAC this season when the Chargers travel to West Central Valley (12-6) on Tuesday. Feb. 3. ACGC had previously dominated this series until the Wildcats defeated the team earlier this season, 69-61.
