The Chargers boys golf team shot a 215 at the WCAC Quad hosted by Earlham on Tuesday, April 28. Des Moines Christian won the meet, shooting 151. Earlham placed second, shooting 158, and Interstate 35 placed third, shooting 164. Interstate 35’s Peter Nagel was the medalist, shooting 35. ACGC’s Sayer Bireline-Huss had the best Charger score, shooting 40. Other ACGC scores were: Ryne Noland, 53, Carter Dinkla, 61 and Easton Gettler, 61.

Then, on Wednesday, April 29, the boys competed in the Ram Invitational at Greene County. ACGC placed 10th, shooting a 417. Host Greene County won the meet, shooting 308. South Central Calhoun’s Caleb Gaffney was the medalist, shooting a 72. Bireline-Huss once again produced the best round for the Chargers, shooting an 85. Other ACGC scores were: Noland, 105; Martens, 105; Gettler, 122; and Dinkla, 123.

It was a busy week for the boys, who then traveled to Coon Rapids-Bayard for the Crusader Golf Quad on Thursday, April 30. The boys placed fourth, shooting 200. C-RB won the meet, shooting 158. C-RB’s Max Shirbroun was the medalist, shooting a 36. Individual scores for ACGC were not available as of press time.

The Chargers next is the West Central Activities Conference Meet at Lake Panorama National on Tuesday, May 5. ACGC competes against, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.
