ACGC boys capture first at state track and field qualifying meet

The ACGC boys track and field team competed at the state-qualifying event at Audubon High School on May 14 and came away in first place with 111 points. Logan-Magnolia, 106, and IKM-Manning, 101, rounded out the top three.

Brexton Schneider captured first place in the 110-meter hurdles, and Preston Kent was first in the 3,200-meter run. Several relay teams placed in the top three with the 800 sprint medley team of J. Crawford, B. Schneider, T. Skram and T. Noland finishing first, as did the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle team of T. Skram, M. Nolte, C. Stringham and B. Schneider.

Other top-five finishers were the 4×100 meter relay team, second; Talon Noland, third in the 200-meter dash; Ryan Martens, third, long jump; Ryan Martens, third, shot put; the 4×200-, 4×400- and 4×800-meter relays teams, third; Morgun Nolte, fourth, in the 110-meter hurdles; Cole Van Meter, fourth, 800 meters; Preston Kent, fifth, 1,600 meters
