The Panorama baseball team (0-7) lost at home to Madrid (4-1) on Tuesday, June 2. Panorama jumped out to an early lead, up 5-0 after two innings. Madrid got on the board with two runs in the fifth. Panorama answered back with one run, 6-2 in the Panthers favor heading into the sixth. Madrid scored one run in the sixth and three more in the seventh to tie the game at 6-6. Madrid added four runs in extras. Panorama scored one more run, but Madrid had completed the comeback and prevented the upset win.

Three Panthers had multi-hit performances. Cruz Crandall went 2/4; Brayden Meinecke went 2/4 with a triple and one RBI, scoring three runs; and Mason Cates went 2/4. Nolan Sheehy led the way with two RBIs. Mason Meinecke and Brody Steenblock had one RBI apiece. Crandall spent seven innings on the mound, striking out three batters. Adrain Leone pitched the other inning.

The next game for Panorama comes as a double header at Earlham (2-7) tonight, Friday, June 5. Panorama leads the all-time series but lost both games to the Cardinals last season, 4-0 and 11-4.
