The ACGC softball team (2-5) secured its second win of the season with a home win over Ar-We-Va (0-5) on Friday, June 5. ACGC scored six runs in the first, four in the second and 12 in the third to end the game early.
Every Charger scored at least one run in this game. Despite the 22-run scoreline, ACGC only had five hits. The majority of the Chargers reaching base were via walks, with ACGC earning 18 in total. Jerzee Huss went 2/4 with a single, triple and three RBIs. Caydence Boals and Kailee Kautzky both hit doubles. Kiera Boals contributed with a single. Trinity Calhoun had two RBIs. Tessa Slaybaugh, Kiera Boals and Megan Underwood each had one RBI. Huss also spent all four innings on the mound, securing the win and striking out five batters.
