ristie Lynn Sheeder, 68, daughter of Howard and Mary Ann (Vaughan) Sheeder, was born Feb. 27, 1958 in Guthrie Center. She passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at MercyOne Medical Center, Des Moines.
Kristie graduated from Guthrie Center High School. She then moved to the Des Moines area and went to work in claims for Travelers Insurance and did a little modeling. She then went to work for a Veterinary Clinic in Des Moines. She retired about five years ago.
Kristie loved her cats and dogs.
She is survived by her brother, Jeff (Karen) Sheeder of Guthrie Center, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Mitchell, and brother, James “Jim” Sheeder.
Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time.
Twigg Funeral Home, Guthrie Center, is entrusted with her services.
