The director of Stuart’s Emergency Medical Services has resigned. According to a report on WHO-TV, a special closed session of city council had been scheduled for Thursday evening, and the agenda indicated that “professional competency” of an employee would be reviewed.

Although the city did not detail the reasons for the closed session, the Stuart Fire Department’s Facebook page had recently included posts regarding the unauthorized raising of the U.S. flag to full mast when state directives said it should be at half-mast.
