Panorama girls wrestling competes at Tiger Invite tonight

The Panorama girls wrestling team hits the mat tonight, Friday, Dec. 19 to compete in the Tiger Invite. Other teams at the tournament will be host Carroll, Pocahontas Area, Baxter, Sioux City East, East Sac County, Kuemper Catholic and Sioux Central.

Panther boys host quadrangular for senior night

The Panorama boys wrestling team hosted a quadrangular meet for its senior night on Thursday, Dec. 18. Panorama seniors honored were Conner Knapp, Nate Spencer, Syler Shaffer, Zach Hayden, Dylan Donovan, Blake Holman, Blake Schwartz, Austin Wagner and manager Elaine Lund.

Panorama narrowly lost its three duals to ACGC, 39-30, Ogden, 42-36, and Southeast Valley, 45-30. ACGC and Ogden were both ranked in the Iowa Wrestling Coaches Association preseason dual team rankings. Panorama competes again tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 20, at Pleasantville and will have three more duals. The team will face Pleasantville, Albia and West Central Valley.

Charger boys battle Panorama tonight

The ACGC boys basketball team (1-4) host Panorama (0-6) on Friday, Dec. 19. The Chargers secured their first win of the season last week, while the Panthers will hope to gain their first against a WCAC opponent. ACGC won the two meetings between these squads last season, 82-40 and 71-31.

No. 8 Chargers host Panorama girls tonight

The No. 8 ACGC girls basketball team (6-0) will hit the hardwood against local rival and WCAC foe Panorama (2-4) tonight, Friday, Dec. 19. The series has been historically dominated by Panorama, but ACGC found the upper hand last season, defeating Panorama in both contests, 61-40 and 54-35.

ACGC wrestling wins 3 duals at Panorama quad

The ACGC boys wrestling team left Panorama with three dual wins on Thursday, Dec. 18. The Chargers played spoiler to Panorama’s senior night, winning their closest dual of the night, 39-30. ACGC won the other duals against Ogden, 48-15, and Southeast Valley, 54-30. ACGC was ranked 19th in the preseason Dual Team Rankings by the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Asso. The next set of rankings are due tomorrow, Dec. 20.

ACGC returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 20 for the Tiger Invite at Carroll. ACGC will compete against Carroll, Council Bluffs Jefferson, Denison-Schleswig, Greene County, Kuemper Catholic, Manson-NW Webster, OABCIG, Pocahontas Area, Storm Lake and Westwood.

Chargers win 1, lose 2 at home quadrangular

The ACGC boys wrestling team competed in a home quadrangular meet on Tuesday, Dec. 16. ACGC picked up a 47-24 win over Pleasantville and lost duals to Earlham, 48-22, and Central Decatur, 51-27.
