On Saturday, Feb. 1, a large crowd showed up to support the Guthrie Center Fire Department at the annual casino night event at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds Event Center. Treats were prepared by Café on the Hill, many locally donated prizes were given out, and some special items were auctioned off.
The fire department also honored firefighters with length of services awards. Included were Derek Betts and Kolby Burns (5 years), Brady Langgaard (10 years), Mike Kenyon and Justin Downing (20 years), Mike Peterson (30 years) and Thomas Reil (35 years).
This auction prize included a quarter of beef.
Blackjack dealer Colby Grove dealt 21s all around to Lisa Hester, Joel Hester and Harley Hester.
Rachel Downing, Bailey Schreiber and Becky Peterson handle the open bar duties.
