Guthrie County Deputy Sheriff Jason Gray reported a two-vehicle accident occurring on Sept. 29 at 8:17 p.m. on Highway 4 north of Panora. Maliya Brooklyn Kelly, 15, of Panora, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Trax Premiere northbound when she collided with Michael Conley Murphy, 35, of Jefferson, who was driving a 2016 Ram Truck. The Ram began slowing down for a line of turning cars ahead when the Chevrolet Trax failed to slow down and rear-ended the Ram. Estimated damage to both vehicles is $3,000. Kelly was issued a citation for following too closely.
