On Thursday, Oct. 8, a retirement party was held in honor of Bill Dorsett, who is retiring after 46 years as a fulltime employee of Panora Fiber. He started out as summer help during his high school years and eventually became the plant manager. Many coworkers, friends and family were on hand to enjoy cake, visit and wish Dorsett well in retirement.

Andy Randol, CEO and general manager at Panora Fiber, noted that such job longevity is rare in today’s world but added that Panora Fiber is fortunate to have Paul Brewster stepping in to fill the role as plant manager. Brewster has worked for Panora Fiber for 26 years.

Randol offered words of appreciation for Dorsett’s years of service.

“He’s been a joy to work with, and he’s left his mark on this company and on this community,” Randol said. “He’s always been customer focused.”
