On Nov. 2, members of area Lions Clubs came to Guthrie Center Elementary School to perform free eye screenings on students whose families had agreed to participate. The pediatric vision screening takes a photo of the child’s eyes, which can then be reviewed to determine if risk factors for eye/vision conditions are present. If risk factors are discovered, the child’s family receives a referral notification with contact information for area optometrists.
Lions Club members participating included Kristen Crouthamel, Diane Flanery and members from the Coon Rapids Lions Club.

Greyson’s eyes are screened in a matter of seconds.

Axl holds still during the non-invasive photograph.
